It is estimated that 72.4% of children in the Province of the Eastern Cape live in disadvantaged communities. Just 28.6% of children ages 0-4 attend daycare outside of the home. Research demonstrates that an investment in early childhood education results in a 10% annual rate of return — leading to the promotion of schooling, reductions in crime and ultimately a more skilled workforce in the future.
